Before 1700, this porcelain was extremely rare and valuable, but the arrival of the Dutch East India Company (VOC) changed this. Furthermore, ceramics and art converge in still-life painting, a genre with a rich history. Six exceptional still-life artists contribute to “Stunning Shards.”
