As a farmer’s son, Sietse (1950) developed a great love for the rural environment in which he grew up. This is often reflected in his portfolio of realistic paintings. Landscapes or still-lifes, Sietse presents his themes in a recognizable and quirky way. His typically Dutch work finds its way across many borders.
Since 1982, Sietse lives and works in Oudkarspel in the Dutch province North Holland.
