Caspar Philips, son of Jacob (Amsterdam, 16 April 1732 – ibid., 19 March 1789) was a Dutch engraver. He devoted his entire life to engraving, mostly in the field of architecture, but he was also a mathematician and a certified, officially registered and licensed surveyor of Holland, Zeeland and West Friesland, and taught drawing.Â
Philips lived on the Nieuwendijk near the Kolksteeg, on the Haarlemmerdijk near the Dommersstraat and on the Brouwersgracht near the Willemsstraat. He was buried in the Karthuizerkerkhof cemetery.
