Risjes en geintjes in het na-oorlogse Joodse Amsterdam. Verhalen van Leo Groenteman
€9,95
Leo Groenteman grew up in the Albert Cuypbuurt neighborhood and the old Jewish quarter near the Nieuwmarkt in Amsterdam.
Drawing from his memories, he enjoyed telling and writing stories about the antics and pranks that used to be played in post-war Jewish Amsterdam, including by his father, Bartje Groenteman, who owned a wholesale textile business on Nieuwe Hoogstraat.
He hoped to publish these stories in a booklet to preserve them. Sadly, he was unable to do so. He passed away on March 10, 2025.
His partner, Stans Barzelay, has compiled some of his stories in this booklet.
