Hooray! Our new name is out. From now on Tropenmuseum, Museum Volkenkunde, Wereldmuseum Rotterdam and Afrika museum will continue as Wereldmuseum. To celebrate that we designed a brand tee with paint residues.

The logo

With objects and art from all over the world, we explore how people around the world give meaning to their lives in different ways. This had to be reflected in the new logo. The handwritten letters ‘W’ and ‘M’ of the new logo together form a human figure. They can be written in a slightly different way by someone else each time and thus show an infinite variety. Just like man himself.
