Alida Jantina Pott
Alida Pott was born in Groningen in 1888. She studied at the Minerva Academy in Groningen and then at the Haagsche Teeken-Academie. In 1912 she graduated as a drawing teacher and returned to Groningen. From 1914 to 1930 she worked as a drawing teacher at the Municipal Training School for Teachers. In 1922 she married George Martens (1894-1979), one of the founders of De Ploeg. She died in 1931.
