Coppola Rosso & Bianco

Francis Coppola grew up with wine on the family table. His grandfather and uncles would have grapes shipped in by train from California and make homemade wine in the basement of their New York apartment. There are even stories of when Francis’s uncles were young they used to lower each other down by rope into the cellar to steal grapes that they could eat. One time their father discovered them in the act, and poor Uncle Mikey ended up in the grapes. This comfort of home is evident in every bottle of Rosso & Bianco – pleasurable wines for everyday.

Cabernet Sauvignon
An intense scent of currants and spices, tobacco and juniper. Juicy yet dry. Nice long finish.
A maturation of 15 months on French oak this wine a nice subtle complexity. It contains deeply concentrated fruit with complex aromatics, excellent body, and smooth tannins. The color is dark red with beautiful tears in the glass. In the nose we smell beautiful fruit notes of cherries, blackberries a little anise. In the mouth we also taste raspberries & plums. We fully understand that this belongs to the flagship of Coppola. Very balanced with beautiful complex layers.

Chardonnay  
A light, unoaked Chardonnay that shines with vibrant fruit flavors. Crisp, lively, and gently sweet, offering a smooth palate, beautiful fragrance, and “fresh fruit” character. Coppola Rosso & Bianco Chardonnay offers the light, crisp character of freshly picked fruit. By fermenting in stainless steel rather than oak, the varietal’s fragrance is shown in its natural state uninfluenced by wood or the spice notes that barrels create. This technique gives the wine a lighter texture, making it food friendly and delicious when paired with shellfish, mild, semi-soft cheeses and desserts.
