‘The birds’ is a 1963 American horror-thriller, produced and directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The film stars Tippi Hedren in her screen debut, who plays a wealthy San Francisco socialite pursuing a potential boyfriend (Rod Taylor) to a small Northern California town. The film slowly takes a turn for the bizarre when birds of all kinds suddenly begin to attack people.
Since its release, many consider The Birds the last great Hitchcock film, or at least the last of his more conventional “Hitchcockian” films. The Birds is an immensely entertaining one in any case, made by a filmmaker who knew better than most the power and possibilities of cinema’s horrific tension.
Dimensions: 104 cm x 86 cm (without a frame) / 120,5 cm x 84,5 cm (with a frame)
Please consider that the vast majority of vintage film posters have been used, and their condition varies. As our head of collections once told us when we mentioned the border pinholes and small folding tears,
“Of course there are going to be small defects, these posters worked for a living!”
Condition of Alfred Hitchcock – “The birds”: VERY FINE
This original movie poster is in a good condition and can be categorized as: very fine. You can also purchase the poster including the frame. The poster itself has hardly any fold lines or frayed edges and tears. At most the visible remnants of tape on the corners of the poster make it a visibly used poster.
