Goldfinches, also known in Dutch as ‘water drawers’ (putters), were often kept as pets in the 17th century. They owe their nickname to the fact that they could be taugth to draw water from a bowl with a tiny bucket the size of a thimble.
This goldfinch is easy to build. No scissors or glue needed.
