Joram is known for his intense portraits with a powerful visual language of his own. The photographer is self-taught and first got his hands on a camera about nine years ago. Joram works in total freedom. The photos are not created from a preconceived plan, but when making them, he tries to put himself in the shoes of the people in front of his camera. He does not take photos on request and decides for himself what to do, even when working on assignment. Moreover, something of himself is always recognisable in the images.
