The film museum’s collection centre boasts an extensive archive of more than 54000 movies, from blockbusters to cult classics. All movies are related to Dutch film history in some way. The oldest movie in the collection dates back from 1896! But every year, newly released movies are added to the collection.

Besides movies, the collection centre also dedicates itself to the archival of numerous other film-related artefacts, from vintage movie posters to old cinema equipment. Sometimes, beautiful things come to the surface that are no longer needed at the collection centre.
