Dutch Museum Gift Shop cares a lot about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (the improvement of) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. Web store software

WooCommerce

Our webshop is developed with software from WooCommerce, we host our webshop on a server owned by Hostnet. We have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss and corruption of data as much as possible. In any case, these security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Backups are made regularly to prevent data loss.

Web hosting

Hostnet

We acquire web hosting and email services from Hostnet. Hostnet processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party can collect metadata about the use of the services. These are not personal data. Hostnet has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. Hostnet is obliged to observe secrecy on the basis of the agreement.

Email and mailing lists

MailChimp

We send our email newsletters with MailChimp. MailChimp will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every email sent automatically through our website you will see the “unsubscribe” link. You will no longer receive our newsletter. Your personal data is stored securely by MailChimp. MailChimp uses cookies and other internet technologies that make it clear whether emails are opened and read. MailChimp reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and to share information with third parties.

Hostnet

We use the services of Hostnet for our regular business e-mail traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Hostnet has no access to our mailbox and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.

Payment processors

Mollie

We use the Mollie platform to handle (part of) the payments in our web shop. Mollieprocesses your name, address and residence details and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and to share (anonymized) data with third parties. In the case of an application for a deferred payment (credit facility), Mollie shares personal data and information related to your financial position with credit rating agencies. All the above mentioned safeguards with regard to the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie’s services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not store your data longer than is permitted by the legal terms.

Shipping and logistics

PostNL

When you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL to carry out the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and residence details with PostNL. PostNL uses this information only for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your details available to these parties.

DPD

When you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. If you’ve placed your order before 19/11/2020, we use the services of DPD to carry out the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and residence details with DPD. DPD uses this information only for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that DPD engages subcontractors, DPD will also make your details available to these parties.

GLS

When you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. If you’ve placed your order after 19/11/2020, we use the services of GLS to carry out the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and residence details with GLS. GLS uses this information only for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that GLS engages subcontractors, GLS will also make your details available to these parties.

FedEX

When you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. If you’ve placed your order after 12/03/2024, we use the services of FedEX to carry out the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and residence details with FedEX. FedEX uses this information only for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that FedEX engages subcontractors, FedEX will also make your details available to these parties.

Het Fulfillent Bedrijf

When you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. If you’ve placed your order before 19/11/2020, we use the services of Het Fulfilment Bedrijf to carry out part of the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and residence details with Het Fulfilment Bedrijf. Het Fulfilment Bedrijf only uses this information for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that Het Fulfilment Bedrijf engages subcontractors, Het Fulfilment Bedrijf will also make your data available to these parties.

Webshoporders.nl

When you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. If you’ve placed your order after 19/11/2020 and before 12/03/2024, we use the services of Webshoporders.nl to carry out part of the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and residence details with Webshoporders.nl. Webshoporders.nl only uses this information for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that Webshoporders.nl engages subcontractors, Webshoporders.nl will also make your data available to these parties.

NedLine Logistics

When you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. If you’ve placed your order after 12/03/2024, we use the services of NedLine Logistics to carry out part of the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and residence details with NedLine Logsistics. NedLine Logsistics only uses this information for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that NedLine Logsistics engages subcontractors, NedLine Logsistics will also make your data available to these parties.

Artimedes B.V.

If you place an order with us for a Giclée, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of Artimedes B.V. for the production and sending of Giclées. to carry out part of the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and residence details with Artimedes B.V. to share. Artimedes B.V. uses this information only for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that Artimedes B.V. uses subcontractors, says Artimedes B.V. your data is also available to these parties.

Affiliated museums

Articles on the Dutch Museum Gift Shop are offered on the site by the affiliated museums. If you place an order via our platform, we will share your order and personal data with the relevant museum. They use this information to process your order. They treat your data confidentially and have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorized use.

When a purchase agreement is concluded between you and a seller (museum) on our platform, this seller will process your personal data to process your order. Consult the privacy statement of the relevant seller, or contact the seller, for more information about how your personal data is handled.
