The accompanying catalog of V&A’s enchanting exhibition Tim Walker: Wonderful Things is a journey through the creative mind of one of the world’s most inventive photographers.

Radical, exciting and original. Tim Walker is one of the world’s foremost photographers. An energetic, imaginative force that evokes other worlds with his images.

The catalog features more than 100 immersive photos, from ten magical shoots inspired by objects from the V&A’s vast and expansive collection, as well as conversations between set designers, stylists, hair and makeup artists, models and muses – such as Grace Jones, Tilda Swinton and Grayson Perry – who Walker teamed up with to bring his fantasy to life. In addition, previously unpublished behind-the-scenes footage reveals Walker’s creative process. From preliminary sketches, through his detailed research in the labyrinth of storage rooms and galleries in the V&A, to his spectacular final photos.
