Antinoüs (110-130) was the young lover of Roman emperor Hadrian. When Antinoüs died at the age of 19, the emperor was heartbroken and deified him. Hadrian had temples and statues made in his honour. Antinoüs face is therfore one of the best known faces of ancient Rome. Antinoüs was worshipped as a God for decades until the Antinoüs-cult was outlawed at the end of the 4th century.
Material: Ceramine. Ceramine is a mixture of earthy and marble powders, which imitates the ancient Greek recipe. It is a non-toxic and environmently friendly material.
